I don't know about you, but as a kid, I was certain I'd grow up to be a writer. I graduated with a Bachelor's in English Literature, worked in film and tech for a bit, then got my Master's, and finally... (*sigh*) went back to tech. For years, my keyboard sat silent while I clung to the safety of a regular paycheck and the fear of failure.
During those years of hustling and grinding, ignoring my inner desires, and denying my life's true purpose, I developed chronic illness. Ultimately, I was forced to stop working and rest, and in that quiet and solitude, in what I thought would be a relatively short gap between jobs, I finally decided it was time.
Within 60 days of quitting my job, I had completed and published a full-length novel. Within a few years, I had written and published numerous novels and short stories and began to write full-time.
Finishing and publishing a novel is one of the greatest feelings in the world. I want everyone to know that feeling, including you.
